Minimal data, local by default
Fossary is a static website with no accounts, contact forms, advertising, or embedded analytics.
What the site does not collect
The site uses no accounts, cookies, advertising trackers, or web analytics. Search, filters, the Compose editor, and the configuration generator run in your browser. Fossary does not send editor contents, generator answers, or generated secrets to its server.
What stays in your browser
For convenience, localStorage may retain the theme, catalog view, recent searches, favorites, comparison list, server profile, Compose drafts, and editor interface state. This data remains on your device and is not synchronized by the site.
Hosting logs
The infrastructure serving static files may technically process your IP address, request time, URL, response status, and User-Agent for delivery, security, and diagnostics. Fossary does not use this data for advertising or user profiling.
External links and GitHub
Application websites, GitHub, and other external resources apply their own privacy policies after you follow a link.
Your control
You can remove local data through your browser's site settings or by clearing localStorage for fossary.com. A public project contact will be added before launch; do not post personal data or vulnerability details in public discussions.
